From Bridges to BeyondA Perspective of Special Education's FutureUniversity of Wisconsin at Oshkosh Special education, as with most fields of study, is in a constant state of flux. This paper explores the changes that special education will likely experience during the 21st century. Specifically, the possible evolution in how transition will be viewed as well as implications for practice are discussed.
